Armand is fluent in Italian and is a designated lawyer for the Italian Consulate. He has been active with the Italian Cultural Centre and is a director of the Italian Centre Senior Citizen’s Housing Society.
Armand has appeared at all Court levels, both in civil and criminal cases, and was successful in the Supreme Court of Canada in the case Kerr v. Baranow dealing with retroactive spousal support and updating the law of property division between unmarried partners. The focus of his practice is family law, elder law, personal injury and estate matters. Armand has served as a member of the Court Interpreters Committee, Diversity Committee of the Law Society, and the Ethics Committee at Burnaby Hospital.
