Vanessa Vilardi

Vanessa received her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law and was called to the BC bar in 2019. She began her legal career at Hawthorne, Piggott & Company as an associate lawyer. Her practice consisted of general solicitor's work including corporate governance, commercial transactions, real property purchases and sale, and wills and estates matters. In 2023, Vanessa was hired as in-house counsel for a large BC energy company. During her time with the company, Vanessa advised the company's Real Property, Facilities and Major Projects teams on complex lands and commercial matters.

Vanessa rejoined Hawthorne, Piggott and Company in 2024 as a part-time corporate lawyer. Having experience both in-house and in private practice, Vanessa advises small, mid-sized and large BC corporations on commercial transactions, corporate reorganizations, real property acquisitions, and general corporate governance matters. She understands the needs of local businesses and undertakes to provide legal services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
